Ahmad Khalil is a normal Malay kid. Not highly educated (yet), but technically inclined – to the World Wide Web. He is currently working as an Software Consultant for a local technology company with a world-class wireless technology. He now travels a lot due to his work. But nevertheless, on the sideline when he is Malaysia, he does freelance working for his International client – developing websites & portals using Open Source technology – just to keep his edge on things. He loves programming (functions, curly brackets) + databases (ER diagram, primary keys). This was nurtured during past experience working on SAP deployment for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for 4 years.

Before jumping the bandwagon to Open Source from Microsoft, Khalil has been enchanted with the Bill Gates story – that lead him to pursue his professional career early in life @ 17 y.o. by being a Microsoft Certified Professional right after his high school education. Having both MCSD (VB6) + MCDBA (MSSQL2000), that was how he landed the gig for TNB.

Now, with Open Source – he is trying his luck to land a bigger gig somewhere else. Currently – Khalil is a happy man – married to a beautiful Malay woman – no kids yet, so still enjoying the couple lifestyle.
